The work POUTRESSE is made up of 9 parts.

One of them is dedicated to Equinoxes de la stupeur - Fabrication d’un son à la naissance. Once again, the reader is invited to turn the book Poutresse 180° to discover the parody of Dominique Brancher's thesis (Equivoques de la pudeur. Fabrique d’une passion à la Renaissance, Geneva, Droz, 2018).

This book, published in partnership with D’Oz, is literally pierced with cuts, in the shape of tiers of a dissection theater allowing you to observe what could not be said in the thesis. The reader penetrates the words even more and plunges into their depths.

When erudition and creation meet.

Scholarly books most often remain restricted, to a small circle of specialists. An artist, Jérôme Karsenti, read three of them, to give his own version – free, fanciful, scathing. Through playful texts, graphic inventions, sumptuous shapes and colors, often strange, always surprising, he injects new force and relevance into the work of researchers. Another public, lovers of beautiful books and avant-garde experiences, will thus have access to the dialogue of science and art. He will discover how the first stimulates the second and how the second reconfigures the first.
